Bashley Village Hall hosted another successful Village Show despite the heavy rain and strong winds. The Village Show has been held in Bashley since 1946.
The show was held on Saturday 15th July, with 245 competition entries, including plants, flowers, vegetables, crafts, baking and home produce. Judging of entries took place in the morning and afterwards the public were allowed to view the entries. The winning entries received rosettes and certificates.
During the afternoon sandwiches, cakes and cream teas were available, and proved popular.
The show has taken several months of planning. It was intended to have 24 stalls outside, but unfortunately the poor weather resulted in only 5 stalls turning up.
Mags Andrews and Alison Avery were the main organisers for this year's show. The Bashley Hall Committee would like to thank them and all the judges, exhibitors and many helpers for making the show a great success.
